The Vision of the NWI is a world transformed- a nonviolent world of security, equality and well-being for all.
As women who have had the privilege of witnessing and participating in extraordinary human endeavors, we believe:
- Transformation occurs when people's understanding of peace moves from a choice to an inherent responsibility
- Peace is constructed and created everyday
- Diversity and difference can be a source of great strength and creativity
- The responsibility of governments is to ensure human security that is a healthy environment, justice and equality for all citizens (replacing the obsession with national security)
- Women have unique, creative, and powerful skills in resolving and transforming conflict
- The seemingly unmovable can be moved
