Mary Byron is the owner of Cloud Nine Quilts in Absarokee, Montana, where she helps her customers create beautiful gifts. Prior to this, she was a partner in the Technology Division at Goldman Sachs where she worked for 25 years. Mary started her career as a Network Engineer and held many roles there, including Chief Information Officer for the Asia Pacific Region in Tokyo, Chief Technology Officer and Head for Technology for the corporate functions such as risk, finance, operations and human resources. She is an active volunteer and serves as Chair of the board of the Auburn Theological Seminary, Treasurer of the board of the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation, Chair of the global board for Room to Read and Chair of the Unitarian Universalist Association Audit Committee. She recently completed a three-year term on the Commission on Institutional Change focused on how to dismantle white supremacy culture in the Unitarian Universalist faith.

Mary has served as the Co-Chair of the Nobel Women’s Initiative Philanthropy Circle for two years. She enjoys hiking anywhere in Montana and has a particular fondness for the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness and Yellowstone National Park.
