Nobel Women’s Initiative is pleased to announce the release of “When We Are Bold: Women Who Turn Our Upsidedown World Right” – a collection of 28 profiles of women who boldly work for change, by the women writers, thinkers and doers they inspire.
“When We Are Bold” draws on the experience and inspiration of women activists around the globe involved in waging peace. The awe-inspiring authors come from a range of endeavours, from the arts to activism to academia, and share with the reader the trailblazing women peacebuilders and feminists who have inspired them. “When We Are Bold” is an intimate portrait of women from the last 100 years who have paved the way in female activism.
The profiles within “When We Are Bold” celebrates these heroines of peace and vividly spotlights the remarkable change that can be achieved by individual and collective action. It brings the reader up close and personal to famous women, and equally, women who should be famous. The stories, and the women who tell them, will inspire readers and ignite the next generation of activists to come in their own path to peace.
