The Women of Congo Speak Out delegation is travelling to eastern Democratic Republic of Congo to meet with women-led groups working for peace in their communities. The delegation is working to spotlight women in Congo who are employing innovative strategies to end rape and sexual violence, and the conflict that has raged in the country for centuries.
The delegation has highlighted a number of factors that have fuelled Congo’s conflict. Check out these insightful and informative books, articles and interviews to learn more about how Congo’s history has influenced its present situation.
