The 2015 Sister-to-Sister Mentorship program participants – Neesa, Riya and Htet Htet – have been busy sharing their work on the airwaves and in print media in Ottawa!
The three young women’s rights activists spoke on Black on Black CHUO 89.1, Metissage Unique 94.5 FM and Third Wave CHUO 89.1 to draw attention to the situation of women’s rights in their countries.
Neesa, Riya and Htet Htet were also featured on the cover of Embassy News magazine! In the full length feature, the young women reiterated the challenges facing the women they work with and their efforts to disrupt the status quo in their countries.
Neesa, Riya and Htet Htet also shared highlights of their time in Ottawa and how the Canadian community can contribute to promote peace and gender equality in Honduras, South Sudan and Burma.
