Susan Byrd is a philanthropist and has been a family clinical social worker for 30 years, providing parenting workshops and family counseling services in the San Francisco area. She now specializes in intergenerational family systems, life transitions, rites of passage and end of life care. Susan co-founded her family foundation, the Lampert Byrd Foundation, in 2005, and has developed and oversees three program areas: Youth Opportunity scholarships, the Environmental Stewardship Fund and the Women and Girls Leadership Fund. Susan also serves on the board of the West Marin Fund, the Grants Committee of the Stinson-Bolinas Community Fund, and as an Advisory Council member of the National Park Foundation and the Blue Sky Funders Forum. She currently divides her time between San Francisco and Stinson Beach, California, and New York City.
