Tania will focus her efforts on organizational transition and renewal, while coordinating our ongoing program work with staff, partners, and funders.
In December, we announced Community Resource Exchange as the team leading an independent external review of our organization and we bade farewell to our two Co-Executive Directors.
After an extensive search, our Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Tania Principe as Interim Executive Director of Nobel Women’s Initiative. Tania is a feminist and disability rights activist passionately committed to building cultures of equality and inclusion. Welcome Tania!
Over the next six months, Tania will focus her efforts on organizational transition and renewal, while coordinating our ongoing program work with staff, partners, and funders.
Tania is the right interim leader at the right time as Nobel Women’s Initiative strives to build a culture of peace and equality within the organization as well as with partners and movements in the broader world. Together with the laureates, she will support the development of internal practices, policies, and culture that align with our core values of equality, justice, and peace for all.
Since 2018, Tania has worked as a gender equality and inclusion consultant, coaching large and small institutions, social change organizations, and activists to live and practice their feminist and social justice values.
She has over two decades of experience leading efforts to end systemic and cultural inequality with global organizations like Gender at Work as well as at home in Toronto with the North York Harvest Food Bank.
Please join us in welcoming and supporting Tania in this important role, and we offer our thanks to you for joining us on this journey.
