Daina Ruduša is Head of Programs at the Nobel Women's Initiative and a member of the organization's senior leadership team. Working in close partnership with the Executive Director, she helps drive organizational strategy and oversees the delivery of the Initiative's global programs, communications, external relations, and donor engagement. She leads the teams responsible for translating strategy into impactful initiatives that advance women's leadership, peace, and justice around the world.
Before joining NWI, she oversaw media relations for climate change and clean energy think tank RMI, and headed global communications at OutRight International, a leading LGBTIQ equality organisation based in New York. She has also worked with a number of feminist and LGBTIQ organisations, including ILGA-Europe in Brussels, as well as CARE International and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in London.
Daina holds an LL.M. in Public International Law & Human Rights from the Riga Graduate School of Law, and a BA (Honours) in History & English from Simon Fraser University. She has lived in eight countries but relocated back to her native Latvia a few years ago, where she lives with her rescue dog Lilu.
