Daina Rudusa

Head of Programs

Daina Ruduša is our Head of Programs at NWI, where she leads the design, development and implementation of the organisation’s programmatic work. She brings over a decade of experience in the human rights field, spanning campaigning, media relations, writing and editorial, partnerships and event management.

Before joining NWI, she oversaw media relations for climate change and clean energy think tank for Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), and headed global communications at OutRight International, a leading LGBTIQ equality organisation based in New York. She has also worked with a number of feminist and LGBTIQ organisations, including ILGA-Europe in Brussels, as well as CARE International and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in London.

Daina holds an LLM in Public International Law and Human Rights from the Riga Graduate School of Law, and a BA with Honours in History and English from Simon Fraser University. She has lived in eight countries and speaks English, Latvian, and Russian fluently. She recently relocated back to her native Latvia, where she lives with her rescue dog Lilu.
