Magnes Welsh is a communications expert, philanthropist and best-selling author. She had her independent consultancy Magnes Communication that specialized in strategic and tactical communications for more than 35 years. Key clients included Chiquita Brands International, JLL, The Atlantic Philanthropies and others. Earlier in her career, Magnes served in management at FedEx and Kraft Foods where she was Director of Public Relations. She also helped leaders create more productive and fulfilling work environments by bringing heart into business. Her work is featured in a chapter of the 2018 Amazon best-selling book Shine Your Light.
She currently focuses on philanthropy, especially helping women and girls own their worth and realize their dreams. Magnes has been the Philanthropy Circle Coordinator of the Nobel Women’s Initiative since 2018. She serves on the executive committee of the Joffrey Ballet Women’s Board and is secretary of the Flawless Foundation which advocates for people with brain-based challenges. A resident of Chicago, she earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA from the University of Memphis.
