Negina Yari is a Human Rights Defender and an expert in Peace and Security from Ghor Province, Afghanistan. She serves as the Executive Director of Window for Hope and is an elected International Board Member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILFP). She is also an alumna of Nobel Women’s Initiative’s Sister to Sister Young Feminist Leadership Program.
With over 13 years of engagement, Negina has made significant contributions to the development of civil society in Afghanistan. She has collaborated with a variety of civil society stakeholders and international organizations, including World Bank Afghanistan, Creative Associates International, the Human Rights Research and Advocacy Consortium, Afghanistan Peace House, and the Afghan Workforce Development Program (AWDP). Negina has represented Afghanistan as a delegate and speaker at the United Nations Human Rights Council, the United Nations Security Council, and the United Nations Economic and Social Council. She also attended the Open Government Global Summit in Canada. In recognition of her efforts, she received the Peace Award in 2019 and the Anti-Corruption Award from the United Nations Development Program.
Currently Negina is a master's student at King’s College. She holds an MBA from Kardan University in Afghanistan, and is also a researcher specializing in Feminist Political Economy.
