The world is united in calling for the full and unconditional release of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Narges Mohammadi.
Following urgent international concern over her deteriorating health and recent transfer to Tehran Pars Hospital for specialized treatment, 113 Nobel Laureates from across disciplines have joined together to demand her release and the protection of her fundamental rights urging the Islamic Republic authorities and the international community to act without delay. Signatories include laureates from Chemistry, Economics, Literature, Medicine, Peace, and Physics.

Narges Mohammadi was transferred by ambulance to Tehran Pars Hospital on May 10 and is receiving treatment from a specialized medical team. This appeal, coordinated by Nobel Women’s Initiative in collaboration with the Narges Foundation, reflects a united global call from Nobel Laureates across disciplines for the full and unconditional release and drop of all charges of Narges Mohammadi.

Nobel Laureates’ Urgent Appeal for Medical Care and Release of Narges Mohammadi

We, the undersigned, express our grave concern regarding the rapidly deteriorating health of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Narges Mohammadi, who remains a prisoner in Iran. Reports from the Narges Foundation and other credible sources indicate that her condition has become critical. She is experiencing severe health complications, including significant weight loss, unstable blood pressure, and serious cardiac symptoms. Medical experts warn that her life may be at imminent risk.
She urgently requires specialized medical care that was not provided under conditions of detention for months. The denial of such care places her at risk of irreversible harm. Her situation unfolds at a time when civilians in Iran are facing the compounded impact of heightened regional tensions and intensified internal repression, raising serious concerns for their safety, health, and fundamental rights.
Access to timely and adequate medical treatment is not only a humanitarian necessity but a fundamental obligation under international human rights standards and applicable domestic legal provisions, which provide for medical care and allow for medical release in cases of severe health risk.
We therefore call for:
Narges Mohammadi’s urgent unconditional release and drop of all unfair charges against her for her peaceful activism
The removal of any barriers preventing her continued access to necessary and timely treatment
We reaffirm our call for the full and unconditional release of Narges Mohammadi, consistent with previous appeals by Nobel Laureates. We further reaffirm that all individuals detained for the peaceful exercise of their fundamental rights are entitled to full protection of their rights, including access to adequate medical care and due process. Those detained on such grounds must be released.
We urge the relevant authorities and the international community to act without delay.

درخواست ۱۱۳ برنده جایزه نوبل برای آزادی کامل نرگس محمدی و رفع تمامی احکام ناعادلانه علیه او بابت فعالیتهای صلحآمیز
۱۱۳ برنده جایزه نوبل از تمامی رشتههای علمی و ادبی، با پیوستن به موج جهانیِ حمایت از نرگس محمدی، خواستار آزادی بیقیدوشرط او شدند. این اتحاد کمنظیر در پی وخامت حال این برنده جایزه صلح نوبل و بستری شدن او در بیمارستان شکل گرفته است. امضاکنندگان این فراخوان که از میان سرشناسترین چهرههای جهان در حوزههای صلح، پزشکی، فیزیک، شیمی، اقتصاد و ادبیات هستند، بر ضرورت پایان یافتن احکام حبس و صیانت از حقوق بنیادین او تأکید دارند.
اگرچه انتقال اورژانسی نرگس محمدی به بیمارستان پارس در ۲۰ اردیبهشت و آغاز درمان او توسط تیم متخصص تحولی کلیدی محسوب میشود، اما این اقدام بهتنهایی نه بیعدالتیِ حبس او را توجیه میکند و نه خطرات جدی و پایداری را که سلامت و امنیت او را تهدید میکنند، از میان میبرد.
این فراخوان که به کوشش مؤسسه زنان نوبلیست و با همکاری بنیاد نرگس سازماندهی شده، نشاندهنده اتحاد جهانی برندگان نوبل در تمامی رشتههای علمی و ادبی است. صادرکنندگان این بیانیه، یکصدا خواستار آزادی کامل و بیقیدوشرط نرگس محمدی و لغو تمامی اتهامات علیه او هستند.
جودی ویلیامز، برنده جایزه صلح نوبل (۱۹۹۷):
«نرگس محمدی نباید تا لبهی مرگ کشانده میشد تا در نهایت به مراقبتهای پزشکی تخصصی دسترسی پیدا کند. اگرچه بستری شدن او در بیمارستان گامی مثبت است، اما هرگز بیعدالتیِ حبس ناعادلانه یا رنجی را که به دلیل محرومیت از درمان بهموقع بر او تحمیل شده، پاک نخواهد کرد. هیچکس نباید به خاطر اعتراض مسالمتآمیز یا دفاع از حقوق بشر در بند باشد. جامعه بینالمللی باید تا لحظهی آزادی کامل و بیقیدوشرط نرگس، با صراحت و فوریت به مطالبهگری ادامه دهد.»

«درست است که شجاعت نرگس محمدی جهانی شده، اما نباید اجازه داد این ایستادگی به قیمت از دست رفتنِ سلامت و کرامت انسانی او تمام شود. ما ضمن استقبال از انتقال او برای درمان، تأکید میکنیم که جای مدافعان آزادی و عدالت در زندان نیست و آنها نباید هزینهی فعالیتهای صلحآمیز خود را با سرکوب و بیماری بپردازند. فراخوان جهانی ما باید با قدرتی بیش از پیش ادامه یابد: آزادی بیقیدوشرط، تنها راه پیش روی نرگس است.»

ما امضا کنندگان این بیانیه، نگرانی عمیق خود را از وخامت نگرانکننده وضعیت جسمانی نرگس محمدی ابراز میکنیم؛ برنده جایزه صلح نوبلی که ناعادلانه در ایران به بند کشیده شده است. گزارشهای بنیاد نرگس و دیگر منابع معتبر نشان میدهند که وضعیت او به مرحله بحرانی رسیده است. او اکنون با عوارض شدید سلامتی، از جمله کاهش وزن چشمگیر، نوسان شدید فشار خون و علائم جدی قلبی دستوپنج نرم میکند.
پزشکان متخصص هشدار میدهند که جان او در خطر جدی قرار دارد. نرگس محمدی نیازمند رسیدگی پزشکی در مراکز تخصصی است؛ چرا که تداوم محرومیت از این درمانها، او را با خطر آسیبهای جسمی جبرانناپذیر روبرو کرده است.
بحران سلامت نرگس محمدی همزمان با تشدید تنشهای منطقهای و فشار بر جامعه مدنی در ایران اوج گرفته است؛ وضعیتی که نگرانیهای عمیقی را پیرامون حقوق اساسی و امنیت شهروندان برانگیخته است. ما تأکید میکنیم که فراهم کردن درمان تخصصی، فراتر از یک اقدام بشردوستانه، یک وظیفه قانونی طبق میثاقهای بینالمللی و حقوق داخلی است که بر آزادی زندانیان در شرایط وخیم جسمانی تأکید دارند. از این رو، مطالبات ما به شرح زیر است:
آزادی فوری و بیقیدوشرط نرگس محمدی و ابطال تمامی احکام ناعادلانهای که علیه او صادر شده است.
حذف تمامی موانع و محدودیتها جهت تضمین دسترسی کامل، بهموقع و مستمر به مراقبتهای پزشکی تخصصی و حیاتی.
ما همصدا با تمامی برندگان نوبل، بار دیگر بر ضرورت آزادی فوری و بیقیدوشرط نرگس محمدی تأکید میورزیم. صراحتاً اعلام میکنیم که جای مدافعان حقوق بشر در زندان نیست و هر فردی که به خاطر فعالیتهای صلحآمیز بازداشت شده، حق دارد از خدمات درمانی کامل و فرآیند دادرسی عادلانه بهرهمند شود. این زندانیان باید بدون قید وشرط آزاد شوند. از مقامات ذیربط و جامعه جهانی میخواهیم برای پیشگیری از فاجعه، بیدرنگ دست به کار شوند.
