The Association of Citizens to Combat Human Trafficking and all Forms of Gender-Based Violence (ATINA) is a Serbian women and children’s rights organization working to end gender-based discrimination and violence.
ATINA has been tackling the issue of human trafficking since 2004, providing comprehensive support programs for trafficking survivors. The organization conducts research and analysis on human trafficking, provides training on how to support survivors, and advocates for policies to better protect them.
ATINA is currently leading a network of organizations supporting refugee women from Greece to Germany—with contacts at each stop along the refugee route. The organization is also documenting some of the cases of rape and other abuse in refugee camps, as well as informing women of their rights and services available.
