To the women in my life
You deserve applause.
You deserve the sun and the moon.
You have earned it a million times over and a thousand times around the stars.
To the women in my life.
You are strength. Beauty. Kindness and Grace.
All manifested into someone who paves the way in their own lives.
To the women in my life.
I thank you.
For entrusting that the world is a better place for me.
Because of all that you are, and all that you do.
To the women in my life.
I send a shouting prayer.
Your work is not unnoticed, and your struggles are not forgotten.
The burdens you carry and the winding path you have gone through has brought me closer to opportunities that I am forever grateful for.
To the women in my life.
When I say ‘I am because you are’ it becomes more truthful.
Because all that I am is because of who you are.
Who you taught me to be.
Who you supported me to become.
To the women in my life.
I thank you.
For holding me on my bad days and celebrating me in my good.
I am forever grateful to you.
Thank you
